While frequent eye examination is crucial for identifying your and your children’ visual needs as well as common diseases and retinal problems; myopia control consultation are specific for children to avoid shortsightedness (myopia) progression. 1.) ComprehensiveEye Examination requires 45 minutes, serviceinclude:

• Case history
    - Identify visual problems and symptoms of eye diseases

• Refraction check*
    - Measurement of Myopia, Hyperopia, Astigmatism, etc. Evaluate performance of current optical correction

• Intra-ocular (IOP) pressuremeasurement
    - Rise in IOP may result in Glaucoma which may cause blindness if left untreated

• Binocular vision assessment
    - Visual function assessment on squint, accommodation (ability in changing focus), depth perception and motility (alignment of eyes in tracking target). Binocular vision problems may lead to tired eyes, blurry vision and double vision

• Colour vision test
    - Test on ability to differentiate colors, colour vision problem may be genetic

• Ocular health and fundus examination
    - Assessment of dry eyes, corneal health, cataract, macular problems, retinal hole, etc

• Consultation and recommendation
    - Evaluate visual needs and risk of getting eye disease, give advices on follow up and management

2.) MyopiaControl Consultation requires 75 minutes, target onchildren aged under 16, service include:

• Comprehensive Eye Examination (abovementioned services are included)

• Cycloplegic refraction*
    - Eliminates any pseudo-myopiacaused by highly active accommodation of children’s eyes, hence gets a betterreference for glasses prescription

• Corneal topography
    - Obtains 3D map ofsurface curvature of cornea to decide on feasibility of myopia control treatments,such as Orthokeratology (OK-lens), soft myopia control contact lenses

• Analysis of visual habits andenvironment to prevent further progressing myopia

• Recommendation on most suitableMyopia Control method with analysis on restrains, pros and cons

*Important Reminder: Pupildilation maybe needed during eye exam. We suggest you to put on sunglasses,avoid driving, using computer and reading after eye examination. In general, ocular function will resume normal after 4-6 hours.
